Back after a Holiday! Thursday, July 24, 2008

The best part of any holiday is to be able to spend it undisturbed by those who you wanted a holiday from, in the first place.

Mobile phones seldom make this possible!

As per an interesting blog post I came across, rising Gas Prices Could Cure Obesity. Sounds like a great alternative to the various weight loss techniques currently available...

Feeding the hunger

Hunger can be fed in more ways than one (depending on the type of hunger!)

Unfortunately, not everyone in the world has the luxury of being what you'd call 'well-fed!'

Don't believe in everything you read! Tuesday, July 8, 2008

That's right...don't believe in everything you read (including this post!)

In Delhi at least, people really don't believe in speed limits, unless of course there are traffic cops around to reinforce following them!

United we stand, Divided we fall Saturday, July 5, 2008

I have firm belief in this phrase which was originally derived from Aesop's fables. During India's struggle for independence, it became the commonly used political motto against the British policy of 'Divide and Rule.'
In today's age and time too, it finds relevance as a basic principle of teamwork.

Here is one of my earliest toons epitomizing this belief (and also my love for the simple but effective stick figures!)

The sweet, the sour and the sarcastic! Thursday, July 3, 2008

According to a Live Science Journal article, 'Sarcasm' is now seen as an important evolutionary skill. Evolutionary theorists claim that as social beings, sarcasm may have helped us climb the ladder to survival.

I think all forms of humor make the world a better place. Thank God for making us capable of expressing and understanding sarcasm as one of them!

If it wasn't for sarcasm, our lives would have been somewhat too sweet!
